G’day mates! It’s Abi.
This time, I am going to write about KIMONO! Yayyyy! I prepared three topics; when I met kimonos, the reasons why I love them, and the Top three of my favourite kimonos! Well, today I am going to talk about the first one when I encountered with KIMONO.
I have been interested in them since I was a high school student. In Japan, women wear a kimono called Furisode for the coming of age ceremony, so I was also preparing for its event. When I was preparing for it, I found the process of dressing up the kimono by combining various parts interesting. Then, after graduating from university, I got a job. When I started working, I noticed a kimono shop located on the same floor as the store I work. I met one staff member during break time. Then, I decided to buy truly. That encounter was so memorable and forgettable. I still buy kimonos from that shop.

This is called Furisode. One of a kind of kimono this is. A furisode is a type of kimono generally worn by young women. It is often worn at coming-of-age ceremonies, weddings and other events. A special feature of Furisode is that the sleeves are much longer than those of a regular kimono. Furisode used to be worn genderless and there was no difference in the colour patterns or design. However, the furisode is now thought of as feminine ones.

A kimono in this picture is also Furisode. It is a kind of pop colour on the fabric, I think it is a little bit of rare colour layering.
That’s all for today! Thank you for reading! God bless you ❤
Love,
Abi
